What is Matte Pomade?
Matte Pomade is a heavy cream pomade with an extreme mattifying effect. The product expertly balances water soluble and wax-based ingredients to create classic looks with a matte finish.
Matte Pomade contains soft, flexible waxes that are heat activated, combined with faster setting water soluble hold agents. This balance in formulation allows Matte Pomade to set slowly but grab quickly in the hair making it the perfect product for experienced barbers and rookie groomers alike.

Having used Upper cut deluxe pomade for many years I fancied another style and look...didn't have to look far within the range. A matte look, non greasy feel which has a medium/firm hold, but can still be reworked if needed. Subtle fragrance of creme brulee and hardly noticeable. Expensive but worth it.

Discovering this pomade was a revelation for me and gave me a permanent hair upgrade. I have slightly curly hair on the thicker side (my formerly dense hair is thinning but the strands are thicker than average), which normally switches between either dry and uninteresting or greasy and gross. I've tried various pomades and creams, most of them just make my hair look wet and shiny all day, which is a look I don't care for. A teaspoon or so of this pomade worked into my hair after a shower really gives it some texture without making it look shiny or overly worked. It preserves and emphasizes my natural curl and provides a decent amount of body. It holds without stiffness. I use this pretty much every day and it's gotten to the point where I always keep multiple cans so I don't run out.
