How would you describe your shop’s vibe?
The shop vibe is somewhere right in the middle of Traditional and modern. A place you can come and feel like you’re at home. You can always come in expecting a solid cut, a cold beer and good conversation.
What’s the most popular cut in the shop at the moment?
At the moment due to this stay at home order, the most popular cut is probably the “Cast Away” look or maybe “Britney Spears circa 2007” look. But before these weird trims started to happen our most popular cut was a skin fade/tapers side part.
Who is the favourite artist to spin in the shop?
We usually just keep a shuffle going and honestly, sometimes that can be dangerous. It can go from The Misfits to Wu Tang to Hank Jr before you even realized what happened.
What’s the shop’s favourite style to cut?
Tapered slick back/side parts are hands down the best looking and are always something we tell people to try at least once and 9 times out of 10 it’s a hit.
What’s the best tip for someone visiting the area?
Cali Burrito, Beach (catch a sunset), and Breweries.
What the best advice for clients before walking in?
Make an appointment because spots are limited, bring cash if you can, and make yourself at home.
Who is the shop’s biggest barbering influence?
Dane Hesse, Shane Nesbitt, and Ron Talley. Can’t pick one.
What is your favourite shop (other than your own)?
Leucadia Barbershop. Its where I go on my day off to get a cut if I haven’t had time during my week. It’s been around for 25 years and some of our boys work there. No Brainer.
