Uppercut Deluxe x Lenny's Pizza
Shadowed by the above ground subway platform, Lenny’s Pizza is a quaint hole-in-the-wall pizza joint right in the heart of Brookyln. From the outside, looking in, Lenny’s looks like your standard place for a slice, but for those in the know, Lenny’s is THE pizza place in Brooklyn.
Lenny’s Pizza was made famous by the iconic Saturday Night Fever scene where Tony Manero, played by John Travolta, ordered his double decker slice and grooved his way down the street. The walls are covered in photos from the scene and after a slice, it’s hard not to strut away like you were Travolta himself.
Despite this, there isn’t anything fancy about Lenny’s – it’s old school. Walk up to the counter, get your slice, take a seat out back and enjoy or be on your way. This is what draws Uppercut Deluxe to Lenny’s Pizza. They do their thing and do it right.
The owners of Lenny’s tell us that their Pizza hasn’t changed much in the past 60 years, it remains generously topped, perfectly seasoned with crispy and chewy crust. From Brooklyn to Brisbane, you won’t find a better slice.
The hard work they put into every pizza to make sure everyone walks away with a full stomach and a smile on their face.
Just like a good haircut, it’s hard to describe what makes a good slice of pizza, but you know it when you see it. From humble beginnings in 1953, the crew at Lenny’s have been setting the standard of Pizza, with tradition to thank. The Uppercut Deluxe team are in awe of the institution Lenny’s has become.
That’s why we are stoked to announce a run of extremely limited Uppercut Deluxe x Lenny’s Pizza shirts. Only 150 of these shirts exist, so you’ll have to get in quick. Hit the website, contact your rep or head to Lenny’s Pizza to grab one for yourself.
