Shane Nesbitt at Lefty's Barbershop

Last Monday we brought down our very own Shane Nesbitt for an education and social night at Lefty’s Barbershop in San Diego, CA.

We had barbers from all across Southern California join us for a chance to get together and learn some things from the man himself. We love when we get these opportunities to give back to the barbering community and come together to support one another.
By the time things kicked off we had over 40 barbers all packed into Lefty’s ready to hear what Shane had to say. He started off the evening by telling his story of how he came to be a barber. Shane prides himself on his customer service and shared how important it is is to being successful in the industry plus some different ways that he and the barbers in his shop make that their number one priority.
Shane also spent some time talking about how essential it is to take care of your body in barbering. We can all understand that being on your feet anywhere from 8 to 12 hours a day can be demanding; and doing that 5 days a week for 15+ years can really start to take it’s toll. He opened it up for some questions and before we knew it, 2 hours had gone by. Shane then proceeded with his demonstration in which he performed a low bald fade on one of Lefty’s own barbers.
He took everyone step by step through his process and the techniques that he has learned through trial and error for the past fifteen years. It was a great night and the response was very positive.
Everyone that was there benefitted in one way or another and left having learned something new about the trade that they love.
