Across The Pond Tour

Back in October we shoved Uppercut Deluxe Founder Steve Purcell on a plane to fly to the UK to hit the road sharing his story and passion for all things barbering.

Meeting up with Chris Brownless (Ambassador, founder of North West Barber Co., UK) and Ben Boyer (UCDC Member, Founder: Le Coupeur, France) Steve had a terrible night sleep before diving wholeheartedly into the first tour date.

Day one saw barbers from all over the UK gather at The Foundry; our education and event facility (located within the UK HQ) for an afternoon of barbering demos, fresh hot coffee from the Dark Arts Coffee crew and food by the fellas at Black Butter Social. It wouldn’t be an Uppercut Shindig without a few games of table tennis and ‘cornhole’ now, would it!?!

Over 300 miles to the next stop to see the family at SB Barbering Academy in Sunderland, UK. Another evening of barbering demos and beverages all surrounded by owner; Vikki Smith’s infectious energy. And damn… the North really showed up for this one!

Stop three; a hop across the water and we’re in mainland Europe. The final date of this leg was Amsterdam, with it’s charming network of canals, beautiful leaning architecture and some questionable pastimes!

Steve, Chris and Ben took to the stage to share the Uppercut Deluxe spirit with a solid grip of local Amsterdam barbers, before heading out the following morning, back to the UK for some private education classes at The Foundry.
