The eighties are of huge influence on Uppercut Deluxe. Styles come and go, but if we’re to revamp anything, we circle back to this era for its music references, films, style, and actors.
As soon as Jimmy Morrison made it as an Uppercut Deluxe Ambassador, we flew him up from Melbourne to lead a cut in the Jungle Room. The style of choice? The Loose Throwback with taper. The volume created gave us the slightest hint of the eighties ‘Karate Kid’ star flavour we were looking for.

To complete the cut, Jimmy cocktailed two products: Salt Spray and Control Cream. Why? The Salt Spray is genius for extra volume and hold while the Control Cream works to alleviate any frizz.
