A balance of contrasts. Razor sharp and delicate flow. Uppercut Deluxe unveils the latest chapter of its collector series: RESIN & ROSE.

Imagine a resin-topped tin, a masterstroke of craftsmanship, holding a handpicked, one-of-a-kind rose, suspended in time. Beneath it, a custom-machined razor blade rests, shining and sharp. All of this sits proudly on the global crowd favourite, Deluxe Pomade.

Capturing the essence of classic style, each piece frozen in resin and history. A true testament to timeless style, where the old and new seamlessly merge.

But how did we get here?

It all started with a flash of inspiration. Steve Purcell, the founder of Uppercut Deluxe, had an idea that seemed almost impossible. With just one week to create this year’s limited-edition capsule (and the pressure of topping last year’s DOOM & GROOM), Steve threw caution to the wind and went for it.

His mind raced back to a memory from his childhood. He remembered sitting beside his dad in the passenger seat of his old 70’s panel van. What caught his eye was the gear shifter. A one-of-a-kind resin set, with a redback spider trapped inside. It was an image that stuck with him for years, vivid and unforgettable.

Inspired, Steve ran straight to CEO Kiera Purcell’s office. “I’ve got this wild idea,” he said. Her response? “You’re crazy”.

But as the days passed, the idea wouldn’t leave their minds. It kept coming back, stronger and clearer each time. And soon, it was undeniable. RESIN & ROSE was going to happen.

The race was on. The team scrambled to track down the five key pieces that would bring the vision to life: custom-machined razor blades, hand-picked real roses, a resin topper, an adjusted Deluxe Pomade formula, and tins etched with the Resin & Rose logo.

Creating the resin was a science in itself. Mixing resin with a hardener triggered a chemical reaction that slowly solidified over 24 hours. But that wasn’t the hardest part. No, the real challenge was keeping the delicate rose from disintegrating in the mixture. Time and time again, the team had to scrap their work and start over. But they wouldn’t give up. Every mistake, every failure, only pushed them further toward perfection.

And finally, after endless trials, they had it. RESIN & ROSE was born. A masterpiece of artistry, patience, and determination.
