Paying homage to the childhood memories of Uppercut Deluxe founder Steve Purcell brought this capsule to life.
Reminiscing on old times, Steve mentioned; “Years ago I stumbled upon an old photo of my Dad with his 1970s panel van. It was badass! The interior details just blew my mind.
“Seeing this shot just reminded me of the old resin gear shifters that you’d see a lot back in those days; the barbed wire, scorpions, redback spiders… it had me thinking on how we could potentially throwback to that era through Uppercut.
“Honestly, I just wanted to pay homage to a time in car culture that I feel we’ve lost – the simplicity, the shapes, the character and personality. There was just this beautiful price of workmanship that came with Australian muscle cars of that era."
