How would you describe your shop’s vibe?

A place where you can chat, relax grab a class trim and even a cold tinny. The interior of our shop blends timless classic furniture with a modern approach to barbering. Neo-traditional some might say.W

What’s your most popular cut at the moment?

Skinfade, although there seems to be more and more mullets coming through so maybe all will change.

Tell us something we don’t know about Uppercut Deluxe products?

I love how you can build up/use a cocktail of products, personally I love using salt spray which I then dry in the hair, then use abit of Styling Powder and a tiny bit of matte pomade to finish for the ultra dry looking volumised messy crop.

Who is your favorite artist to spin in the shop?

I don't have A favorite but my go to artists would be, Mumford & Sons, Elvis (who doesn't like Elvis)? and a bit of The Clash

What’s the best tip for someone visiting your area?

Firstly, get yourself up Pen Y Fan, then get yourself booked into Gill&Co. Barbers for a fresh trim, Then get up to Hills Brecon burger bar for the best burgers (not even joking they're awesome) then finally get down to Lanfaes Dairy for probably the best ice cream you will ever have!

What the best advice for your client before walking in?

Know what you want, it makes it easier for everyone. Failing that, get some pictures of styles you like and we can work from that. Oh and wear a mask obviously.

Who is your biggest barbering influence?

Thomas Liptrot, Luke Dolan, Steve Purcell, Jarred Liddington

Why did you get into Barbering?

Because I love how you can literally change somebody's whole image and their mindset just from a haircut. I honestly think its the best job in the world.
